THE PBSC RETURNS WITH THREE UNFORGETTABLE TOURNAMENTS FOR THE ENTIRE COMMUNITY

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
April 2026
SUMMER HEATS UP WITH FLORIDA’S #1 MEATFISH SERIES
The Pompano Beach Saltwater Circuit returns this summer, bringing together South Florida’s fishing community for three action-packed tournaments built around competition, camaraderie, and the moments that keep crews coming back year after year. From May through August, teams will chase dolphin, wahoo, kingfish, blackfin tuna, and cobia, all while competing for a $600,000 season purse in one of the region’s most anticipated summer series.
More than just a tournament, the PBSC is a full summer experience. From fun days on the water with family and friends to weigh-in parties at The Cove Waterfront Restaurant and Tiki Bar, it’s where great fishing meets great company, and every event feels like a reunion.
MERCURY/SEAVEE POMPANO BEACH SALTWATER SHOOTOUT – MAY 14-17, 2026
The season kicks off with the Mercury/SeaVee Pompano Beach Saltwater Shootout, a fan-favorite event when the ocean is alive with the target species. With an estimated purse of $200,000, it’s the season’s first opportunity for teams to get in the mix and enjoy a weekend built around fishing with family and friends.
The week begins Thursday, May 14th, with the Captain’s Meeting at the Emma Lou Olson Civic Center in Pompano Beach. It’s a chance to connect with fellow teams, meet tournament sponsors, and settle in for the weekend ahead over cocktails and a tasty assortment of bites from Bonefish Mac’s.
Lines go in Saturday, May 16th, as teams run and gun in search of the winning bites before checking in for the main event at The Cove Waterfront Restaurant and Tiki Bar in Deerfield Beach or the tournament’s satellite scale at Lighthouse Point’s Port 32 Marina, where the dockside energy builds into one of the best scenes of the summer.
The weekend closes Sunday, May 17th, with the Awards Brunch back at the Emma Lou Olson Civic Center, where champions are crowned, and the best stories from the water get told over a well-earned meal.
PARTNERING FOR A PURPOSE: MISSION FISHIN’
At its core, the Pompano Beach Saltwater Circuit is about more than competition. Through its partnership with Mission Fishin’, the series helps create meaningful on-the-water experiences for children with special needs, foster families, and others facing real challenges.
By bringing together anglers, captains, and the broader community, Mission Fishin’ turns time on the water into something that lasts well beyond the day.

TOURNAMENT ENTRY TIPS:
GENERAL ENTRY CATEGORY INFORMATION

FLEX HOW YOU FISH: The BIG BAG and BIG FISH divisions deliver two exciting paths to the same shared experience on the water. Whether you’re dialing in a consistent bite or holding out for that one fish that changes everything, we want you to flex how you fish best, with prize purses exceeding $15,000 in cash awarded to the top five teams in each division.

INTRODUCING THE GROM SQUAD: A new division built for the next generation of anglers, the Grom Squad puts young crews at the center of the action this summer. Open to participants ages 10 to 19, this category awards $2,000 in cash and prizes from Bass Pro Shops at each of the three tournaments in the series.
Designed to give groms full ownership on the water. From rigging baits to reeling in the catch, the groms run the show, with one adult chaperone permitted per team.
OPTIONAL ENTRY CATEGORY INFORMATION
PICK 3 JACKPOT: The Pick 3 Jackpot brings an added layer of excitement to the weekend, keeping every team in it until weigh-in. With three of the five species randomly selected as the day’s target before fishing, the opportunity is always there, and if no one hits it, the pot rolls forward and builds into the next event. With an estimated jackpot of over $11,000 on the line and a $200 entry per boat, it’s an easy add for teams looking to stay in the mix. See rules for details.
KAY DEE DUBYA JACKPOT: The KDW Jackpot is built for crews that like to fish it all, challenging teams to land a Dolphin, Wahoo, and Kingfish in the same day. If it doesn’t get hit, the pot carries over, keeping the momentum going all summer long. With more than $7,000 estimated in the pot and just a $200 entry per boat, it’s another chance to turn the right bites into something bigger. See rules for details.
BIG DAWG: Debuting as one of the series’ newest calcuttas, Big Dawg is all about that one bite. Open exclusively to Big Fish Division teams, this winner-take-all category gives crews a shot at a major payday when the right fish hits the deck. With an estimated $13,500 purse based on 30 boats and a $500 entry, it’s built for teams swinging big.
MONSTER FISH: A fresh addition to this year’s calcutta slate, Monster Fish is made for teams that put it all together. Open exclusively to Big Bag Division competitors, this winner-take-all category rewards the crews that can stack a full day and separate from the field. With an estimated $13,500 purse based on 30 boats and a $500 entry, it’s a strong play for teams chasing consistency.
