Meat Fish Season is Back! The Pompano Beach Saltwater Circuit is On Deck with the Saltwater Shootout, May 12-15, 2022!
South Florida’s most popular meat fishing series is back for its 24th year! The first of three legs in the PBSC, the Mercury/SeaVee Pompano Beach Saltwater Shootout returns May 12th-14th, 2022. The Early Entry Discount Registration $475 per boat runs through Friday, April 29th. After the 29th, jumps to $575 per boat and will conclude at the kick off party on May 12th. With over $600,000 in cash and prizes, 4 prestigious meat-fishing titles up for grabs and the best parties in town, the 2022 PBSC is a guaranteed WIN for all teams that fish!
The Pompano Beach Saltwater Circuit is one of the most historic fishing series in the South Florida fishing community and proud to be one of the first events to reconnect anglers, their families, and friends with their passion every season.The target species in the PBSC series are Wahoo, Kingfish, Dolphin, Cobia, and Blackfin Tuna. So, if you love meat fishing- this one’s for you!!
The Captain’s Meeting/ Kick Off Party will be held on Thursday, May 12, 2022 from 6pm-10pm at the Pompano Beach Civic Center. Enjoy some great bites from our friends over at Bonefish Mac’s and spiked seltzers and cocktails from our new sponsor Islamorada Brewery & Distillery along with cold beers from Landshark Lager! There will also be a silent auction, a free fishing clinic for kids, a raffle chock full of great prizes from tournament sponsors, and a ‘Dunk for Dollars’ dunk tank contest to raise money for tournament charity, Mission Fishin’. This is your chance to put your favorite angler in the dunk tank and raise money for a great cause! Mission Fishin’ is a non profit organization in South Florida dedicated to improving the quality of life for
children with special needs and their families. Over $10,000 was raised to help support their special needs program in the Broward County school district in 2021 through the partnership with Bluewater Movements.
Competition day is set for Saturday, May 14th, 2022. Alsdorf Park will be the main weigh-in station for this year’s tournament. A number of sponsors including PELAGIC and Eddie Forbes Art will be on site with displays and local sports bar Galuppis will have their satellite bar set up for spectators to enjoy cold drinks while the big fish hit the scales. The scales open at 4pm for weigh-in with the deadline to check-in at Hillsboro Inlet by 4:30pm. There is also the option for an express weigh in at Lighthouse Point Marina.
The tournament concludes with an awards ceremony on Sunday, May 15th, 2022 at the Pompano Beach Civic Center. The event will start at 2pm with the awards presentation starting at 3pm. Come support your team and enjoy some incredible eats from our new sponsor Boca Fish House!
