Bluewater Movements Announces New State Wide Billfish Tournament, The Florida Sailfish Cup

Bluewater Movements, a sports marketing and event company out of Pompano Beach, Florida is proud to introduce a new fishing tournament that will cover the entire state of Florida. The window of competition for the Florida Sailfish cup begins on November 1st, 2021 and continues through May 31st, 2022. Eligible species for the Sailfish Cup are, Sailfish, Blue Marlin, and White Marlin.

The Florida Sailfish Cup is a fisherman’s dream tournament; fish where you want, when you want! The all new Florida Sailfish Cup makes that concept a reality with an innovative new format that enables teams to choose their own days of fishing during the course of the season.

“Inevitably, every sailfish season, there are banner fishing days that never land on tournament days, ” said tournament director, Jamie Bunn. With the unique format of the Florida Cup, those days are over. Every day is a tournament day. When the bite heats up in their area, teams will have the opportunity to capitalize on a hot bite and record it on their quest to win the Florida Sailfish Cup,” said Bunn.

The tournament will consist of 5 days of competition with a bonus opportunity to purchase a mulligan day prior to the start of the tournament that will replace a team’s lowest scoring day. Teams will be able to schedule their fishing days whenever they choose through the interactive website, www.sailfishcup.com.

With 4 zones stretching covering the entire east coast of Florida from Fernandina Beach to Key West, the Florida Sailfish Cup opens the door to many new teams to participate in the tournament. The four zones give teams the opportunity to compete in their own backyard against other teams up and down the coast! The beauty of the Florida Sailfish Cup is that teams are not bound to one zone throughout the tournament. Teams have the opportunity to compete in any zone they want on any day of fishing and have the chance to compete for the overall and optional prizes for that respective zone.

The projected purse of the Florida Sailfish Cup is one million dollars, with ample opportunities for teams to rake in the dough. The top three overall finishers for the tournament will receive a payout of $25,000 for first place, $15,000 for second and $10,000 for third. $10,000 is up for grabs to the top team in each respective zone, and each zone will have their own set of calcuttas and dailies to further increase teams chances of winning money! There are also a slew of overall calcutta’s that can further fill teams’ pockets, including a Winner Take All, 70/30, 50/30/20, Outboard Only, Inboard Only, Dead Bait Division and two tiers of Dailies.

“We could not be more excited to bring this unprecedented tournament format forward and bring top fishing teams together with representation over the entire state of Florida, ” said Jamie Bunn. Which teams will conquer the Cup? What zones will they come from? Will it be dead bait or live bait? Let the Countdown to the Cup begin!”

Early entry registration for the first annual Florida Sailfish Cup is open until October 1st, 2021 with a discounted price of $1,500 per team. For more information on the Florida Sailfish Cup please visit www.sailfishcup.com or call 954-425-4010.
