Palm Beach report from Greg Bogdan

February 22, 2011
Fishing off Palm Beach has been good inshore and offshore.

Inshore: Along the south jetty at the Palm Beach inlet on the south going tide there are lots of Jacks, Permit and Sheepshead. Sheepshead are spawning over the next 2 months and can easily be caught using live shrimp on the bottom. I’ve been catching Permits and Jacks on yellow and white jigs tipped with shrimp.

Offshore: Between Palm Beach and Jupiter in 20 - 30 ft deep the wreck fishing has been great for CobiaAfrican Pompano and Amberjacks. Sailfishing is slower but there are still some around. Kingfishing is good and there are lots of sharks inshore and offshore. Especially Spinner sharks inshore along the beach.
