This is undeniably the most prestigious award bestowed upon any team throughout the entire Pompano Beach Saltwater Circuit.

The saying 'Even a Blind Squirrel Finds a Nut Every Now and Then' is one that definitely does not apply in the case of the Showdown Crown.  The Crown recognizes the top overall team in the 2012 Saltwater Circuit.  Not once, not twice, but over three separate tournaments, a contender for the Crown must emerge from a field of hundreds of boats to prove that they are the most consistent and ultimately the most dominant team of the season.

The money is great, but this award is really about distinction! Showdown Crown champions have the distinction of knowing they are members of an elite group, recognized as one of the most dominant fishing teams in all of South Florida.  Best of luck to all teams from Simrad Electronics.
