Bluewater Bonanza

The Bonanza is an optional entry category that pays to the top three boats entered in the division. Winners are determined based upon the heaviest combined total weight. Prize money is based upon the number of boats entered. Amounts listed above are based upon 59 boats, which is the number of boats entered in 2011. Entry fee is $200 per boat.

Average Joe Bonanza

  • 1st Place $2,093
  • 2nd Place $1,256
  • 3rd Place $837

The Average Joe Bonanza is an optional entry category available ONLY to teams that qualify for the ‘Average Joe’ status in the tournament. See rules for details. Winners are determined based upon the heaviest combined total weight. Prize money is based upon the number of boats entered. Amounts listed above are based upon 31 boats, which is the number of boats entered in 2011. Entry fee is $150 per boat.

Bluewater Challenge

  • Heaviest Fish Overall $11,070

The Challenge is an optional entry category that pays big $$$ to the angler that weighs in the heaviest fish of the tournament. You don’t have to be an expert to catch a big fish. Just be in the right place at the right time, and this category and ALL the prize money belongs to you! Prize money is based upon the number of boats entered. Amounts listed above are based upon 82 boats, which is the number of boats entered in 2011. Entry fee is $150 per boat.

The Big Three

  • Heaviest Fish $6,525
  • 2nd Heaviest Fish $3,915
  • 3rd Heaviest Fish $2,610

The ‘Big 3’ is an optional category with a hefty payout for the 3 heaviest fish weighed in the tournament. All it takes is one nice fish to cash in on a payout in this division. Enter the Big 3 and the Bluewater Challenge for a chance to win over $17,500 for one fish! Prize money is based upon the number of boats entered. Amounts listed above are based upon 58 boats, which is the number of boats entered in 2011. Entry fee is $250 per boat.

Kay Dee Dubya Jackpot

  • Estimated Jackpot $7,560

Catch a weighable Dolphin, Wahoo and Kingfish in the tournament and you’ll have a chance to line your pockets with some extra cash!! If no team weighs the KDW trio, then the prize money from this tournament will roll into the next leg of the PBSC. The pot will continue to grow in each PBSC tournament until someone hits the pelagic jackpot and brings the heaviest KDW trio to the scales. Entry fee is $200 per boat. See rules for details.

Pick 3

  • Estimated Pot $10,000

It's like the KDW Jackpot with a twist!  Similar to the KDW Jackpot, the Pick 3 targets 3 species of fish in the tournament.  But which 3 you may ask?  The answer to that question comes on the morning of the tournament.  The names of the 5 target species (Dolphin, Wahoo, Kingfish, Tuna and Cobia) will be placed in a sealed container on the morning of the tournament.  The tournament committee will 'Pick 3' of the 5 eligible species in a blind drawing  The three that are chosen will be the 3 target species in the Pick 3 for that day.  If there is no winner, the purse will roll over into the next PBSC tournament where the process will start all over again.  See rules for details.  Entry fee is $150 per boat. 

Holy Mackerel!

  • Heaviest King $1,485
  • 2nd Heaviest King $891
  • 3rd Heaviest King $594

This optional entry category will be available specifically for SKA members. The category will award prize money for the heaviest 3 Kingfish caught by SKA members. Prize money is based upon the number of boats entered. Amounts listed above are based upon 22 boats, which is the number of boats entered in 2011. Entry fee is $150 per boat.

Ante Up

  • 1st Place $4,320
  • 2nd Place $2,880

The ‘Ante Up’ is an optional category with a sizeable payout to the top 2 teams entered in this division. Winners are determined based upon the total amount of points weighed in by each team. Prize money is based upon the number of boats entered. Amounts listed above are based upon the number of boats entered. Amounts listed above are based on 32 boats, which is the number of boats entered in 2011. Entry fee is $250 per boat.
