The Sailfish Challenge presented by Mercury Marine has quickly become one of the most popular and arguably the largest Sailfish tournaments in the country.
79 boats and more than 500 anglers in the 2011 event competed for a one-day cash purse in excess of $220,000.
The Sailfish Challenge is hosted on property at the IGFA Hall of Fame Museum, a natural fit for an event of this caliber.

Two of the most distinguishing features to the Sailfish Challenge are its one day, three inlet format. Team's can check out from Government Cut in Miami, Hillsboro Inlet in Pompano Beach or Lake Worth Inlet in West Palm Beach. This feature is a great compliment to the event's date in February. The bite can turn on anywhere up and down the South Florida coastline this time of the year.
