Quest for the Crest

True champions don’t make pit stops in victory lane – they live there.  That is the driving concept behind the highly touted ‘Quest for the Crest’ Sailfish Series.  This iconic series will host some of the best billfishing teams on the face of the planet.  Teams in this 3-leg series will compete for an anticipated purse of more than $1,000,000 dollars.  However, the most coveted award – The Crest - won’t come in the form of a cash prize.

Operation Sailfish

On Dec 12th, 2012 an infantry of elite Sailfishing teams will converge on Sailfish Marina in Singer Island, FL to prepare for Operation Sailfish - 2 days of battle against Sailfish on the high seas in West Palm Beach, FL.  As the first leg in the highly touted, ‘Quest for the Crest’ Sailfish Series, each and every team will be on a mission to kickstart their series with a strong performance in the season opener.

Sailfish Challenge

Leg 2 in the Quest for the Crest Sailfish Series, the Sailfish Challenge has quickly become one of the most popular and arguably the largest Sailfish tournaments in the country. 71 boats and more than 500 anglers in the 2013 event competed for a one-day cash purse in excess of $375,000.

Jimmy Johnsons National Billfish Championship

Grab your flip flops and your kite rods and head south for the final leg of the Quest for the Crest series - The Jimmy Johnson National Billfish Championship.  Set for March 6-9, 2013, the tournament is hosted at Jimmy Johnson’s Big Chill in Key Largo, FL.  Participating teams will join Jimmy and other celebrities to compete for the National Billfish Championship ring and the overall Quest for the Crest series title.

Saltwater Shootout

Spring tournament fishing in South Florida kicks off with The Mercury/SeaVee Pompano Beach Saltwater Shootout. The Saltwater Shootout is the first leg in South Florida's largest tournament trail. The Pompano Beach Saltwater Circuit. Teams travel from near and far to enjoy the festivities and take a chance at over $275,000 in cash and prizes.

Saltwater Slam

Strategy is the name of the game moving into the second leg of the Pompano Beach Saltwater Circuit: The Mercury/SeaVee Pompano Beach Saltwater Slam. The Saltwater Slam provides the last opportunity for teams to make the cut as one of the elite 75 boats to qualify for the invitation only championship leg of the PBSC. Held in June, the Saltwater Slam offers great timing for families to round up the kids and enjoy a great weekend in a family oriented South Florida fishing tournament.

Saltwater Showdown

Tensions are high as the top 75 fishing teams in South Florida arrive to compete in the final leg of one of the most prestigious fishing tournaments in the Southeast: The Mercury/SeaVee Pompano Beach Saltwater Showdown. Teams accumulate points over the course of the 3-leg series in the chase after the circuit's most prestigious award: The Showdown Crown.

This is undeniably the most prestigious award bestowed upon any team throughout the entire Pompano Beach Saltwater Circuit.

KDW Jackpot

Please Note this is a category within PBSC

The KDW Jackpot has become one of the most popular prize categories in the 3-leg Pompano Beach Saltwater Circuit.  It most definitely has forced teams to rethink their strategy in the tournaments. To win the prize money in the KDW Jackpot your team must catch a 10 pound Kingfish, Dolphin and Wahoo within the same tournament.  If no team catches the trio then the pot rolls over to the next PBSC tournament where teams can reenter the category and vie for the Jackpot again.
