Optional Entry Prize Structure

Tier 1 Daily

  • 1st Place $31,500 per day
  • 2nd Place $18,900 per day
  • 3rd Place $12,600 per day

Prize money in this optional daily category is awarded to the top three boats each day.  Entry for the Tier 1 Daily is $4,000 per boat.  Prize money is based upon 35 registered boats, which is the number of boats entered last year.  If there are more than 35 boats entered, prize money will increase accordingly.  Should there be fewer than 35 boats entered, prize money will decrease accordingly.

Tier 2 Daily

  • 1st Place $51,030 per day
  • 2nd Place $21,870 per day

Prize money in this optional daily category is awarded to the top two boats each day.  Entry for the Tier 2 Daily is $6,000 per boat.  Prize money is based upon 27 registered boats.  If there are more than 27 boats entered, prize money will increase accordingly.  Should there be fewer than 27 boats entered, prize money will decrease accordingly. 

Leader’s Board

  • 1st Place $25,200
  • 2nd Place $15,120
  • 3rd Place $10,080

Prize money in this optional category is awarded to the top three boats.  Entry fee for the Leader’s Board is $2,000 per boat.  Prize money is based upon 28 registered boats, which is the number of boats entered last year.  If there are more than 28 boats entered, prize money will increase accordingly.  Should there be fewer than 28 boats entered, prize money will decrease accordingly.

Self Centered

Center Consoles Only

  • 1st Place $14,400

The name says it all.  If you like the idea of a category geared exclusively towards center console boats then here it is.  Entry fee for this division is $1,000 per boat.  Prize money is based upon 16 registered boats, which is the number of boats entered last year.  If more than 16 boats enter, the prize money will increase.  Should fewer than 16 boats enter, the prize money will decrease accordingly.  Final decision regarding a team’s eligibility for this category will be made by the tournament director.

 

The Big Easy 

  • 1st Place  $66,150
  • 2nd Place $28,350

The Big Easy is an optional high stakes category available to all boats competing in the tournament.  Entry fee for the Big Easy is $5,000.  Prize money is based upon 21 registered boats. If there are more than 21 boats entered, prize money will increase accordingly.  Should there be fewer than 21 boats entered, prize money will decrease accordingly.

Big Fish Bonanza

  • WINNER TAKE ALL
  • $18,000

Prize money in this optional prize category is awarded to the angler that weighs in the heaviest eligible dolphin, wahoo, tuna, kingfish or cobia of the tournament.  Prize money is based upon 40 registered boats, which is the number of boats entered last year.  Entry fee is $500 per boat.  If there are more than 40 boats entered, prize money will increase accordingly.  Should there be fewer than 40 boats entered, prize money will decrease accordingly. 

 

Release Round Up

  • 1st Place $200,700 (estimated)

This optional entry category is divided into 4 rounds over 2 days of fishing.  Hours of fishing in morning rounds are from 8:00am to 12:00pm.  Hours of fishing in afternoon rounds are from 12:01pm to 4:00pm.  Numbers ranging rom 1 to 6 will be placed in a sealed container.  During each round of fishing a number wil be drawn from the container and that number will determine the number of sailfish that must be released to move on to the next round.  Drawn numbers can only be used once.  A team must advance through all 4
rounds in order to win the pot. In the final round, should multiple boats release the required number of fish, the team that releases the most fish in that round will win.  Ties will be decided by whichever team released their last fish first.  If there is no winner the pot will rollover into the next leg of the Quest series. Estimated purse is based upon 29 registered boats plus rollover amount from previous tournament.  Entry fee is $1,000 per boat.

 

Quest for the Crest TNT - Series Calcutta

There is no fee associated with competing for the Quest for the Crest Series title and the jacket.  However, the Quest for the Crest TNT is an optional series calcutta available to teams who want to compete for bonus prize money in the overall points race.  A team must register for this calcutta in the 1st leg of the series in order to be eligible for the TNT prize money at the end of the season. Entry fee for the Quest for the Crest TNT is $3,500 for the series.  Prize money is based upon 20 registered boats.  If there are more than 20 boats entered, prize money will increase accordingly.  Should there be fewer than 20 boats entered, prize money will decrease accordingly.
