KDW Jackpot

The KDW Jackpot has become one of the most popular prize categories in the 3-leg Pompano Beach Saltwater Circuit.  It most definitely has forced teams to rethink their strategy in the tournaments. 

Here's how it works.

To win the prize money in the KDW Jackpot your team must catch the heaviest Kingfish, Dolphin and Wahoo combination within the same tournament - 10 pound minimum per species.  If no team catches the trio then the pot rolls over to the next PBSC tournament where teams can reenter the category and vie for the Jackpot again.  And here's the best part, every time the pot rolls over, the prize money gets bigger and bigger. 

Sounds easy right? Not really. 

The KDW Jackpot debuted at the Saltwater Shootout in May of 2008 and rolled over 9 times over a three year period before finally getting taken down by the Rebound fishing  team in  the 2010 Saltwater Showdown.  The accomplishment by the Rebound team is one that will not soon be forgotten.  They broke the bank collecting a record setting $100,000 payday for their accomplishments that day.  Who will be the next team to stake their claim on the elusive KDW Jackpot?  Sign up for the next PBSC tournament for your chance to hit the Jackpot!
