Optional Entry Prizes

  Tier 1 Daily

  • 1st Place $27,900 per day
  • 2nd Place $16,740 per day
  • 3rd Place $11,160 per day

Prize money in this optional daily category is awarded to the top three boats each day.  Entry for the Tier 1 Daily is $6,000 per boat.  Prize money is based upon 31 registered boats. If there are more than 31 boats entered, prize money will increase accordingly.  Should there be fewer than 31 boats entered, prize money will decrease accordingly.

Tier 2 Daily

  • 1st Place $45,360 per day
  • 2nd Place $19,440 per day

Prize money in this optional daily category is awarded to the top two boats each day.  Entry for the Tier 2 Daily is $8,000 per boat.  Prize money is based upon 27 registered boats.  If there are more than 27 boats entered, prize money will increase accordingly.  Should there be fewer than 27 boats entered, prize money will decrease accordingly.

Leader’s Board

  • 1st Place $28,125
  • 2nd Place $16,875
  • 3rd Place $11,250

Prize money in this optional category is awarded to the top three boats.  Entry fee for the Leader’s Board is $2,500 per boat. Prize money is based upon 25 registered boats, which is the number of boats entered last year.  If there are more than 25 boats entered, prize money will increase accordingly.  Should there be fewer than 25 boats entered, prize money will decrease accordingly.

Self Centered

Center Consoles Only

  • 1st Place $12,600

The name says it all.  If you like the idea of a category geared exclusively towards center console boats then here it is.  Entry fee for this division is $1,000 per boat.  Prize money is based upon 14 registered boats, which is the number of boats entered last year.  If more than 14 boats enter, the prize money will increase.  Should fewer than 14 boats entered, the prize money will decrease accordingly.  Final decision regarding a team’s eligibility for this category will be made by the tournament director.

The Big Easy

  • 1st Place $66,150
  • 2nd Place $28,350

The Big Easy is an optional high stakes category available to all boats competing in the tournament.  Entry fee for The Big Easy is $5,000.  Prize money is based upon 21 registered boats, which is the number of boats entered last year.  If there are more than 21 boats entered, prize money will increase accordingly.  Should there be fewer than 21 boats entered, prize money will decrease accordingly.

Release Round Up

  • Estimated $170,000

This optional entry catagory is divided into 4 rounds over 2 days of fishing.  Hours of fishing in morning rounds are from 8:00am to 12:00pm.  Hours of fishing in afternoon rounds are from 12:01pm to 4:00pm.  Numbers from 1 to 6 will be placed in a sealed container.  During each round of fishing a number wil be drawn from the container and that number will determine the number of sailfish that must be released by your team to move onto the next round.  Once a number is drawn, that number will not return to the container.  In the final round, should multiple boats release the required number of fish, the team that releases the most fish in that round will win.  Ties will be decided by whichever team released their last fish first.  If there is no winner the pot will rollover into the next leg of the Quest series where the process will start over again.  Estimated purse is based on rollover scenario from previous tournament.  Entry fee is $1,000 per boat.

  Big Fish Bonanza

  • WINNER TAKE ALL $12,150

Prize money in this optional prize category is awarded to the angler that weighs in the heaviest eligible dolphin, wahoo, tuna, kingfish or cobia of the tournament.  Prize money is based upon 27 registered boats, which is the number of boats entered last year.  Entry fee is $500 per boat.  If there are more than 27 boats entered, prize money will increase accordingly.  Should there be fewer than 27 boats entered, prize money will decrease accordingly.
